In recent years many historians have come to believe that German Forces attacking the French & British at the start of WWII were being given Pevertin. It's a form of Crystal Meth. It dulls the feelings of empathy and slows fatigue. Both German and British historians agree it was used in abundance throughout the war almost like candy. That aside how do you feel about it's use, or that of any other stimulant, for those who protect us.

Re: Blitzkreig - Armed Forces on Pevertin
It's hard to see current circumstances why it would be used in the UK. I suppose in a conflict or war, personal could be pushed to their limits.
Troops in Afghanistan were suffering harder as the fighting was near constant compared to WWII who's troops did have respite as units took over duties from each other.
I think there was some stimulation trials for short term effects, hours or a day or two but people can just go and buy a Red Bull now to create a similar situation.
I don't think it is limited to the armed forces. Students, some NHS staff, even lawyers have been known to take some form of uppers to deal with temporary situations.
As for the Germans in WWII, I thought it was fairly common knowledge that they were issued the drugs and told to keep pushing on at pace as the results justified the end, well for the other side anyway. There have been several documentaries that have discussed this issue.

Not just the Nazis, the RAF and possibly other arms were supplied with amphetamines during WW2.

Both Axis and Allied forces used stimulants during WW2.
Nothing new.
