Re: Foreign Currency Poll
I went to Poland in March and didn't get any paper zlotys. This was fine apart from buying a couple of specialist maps from a once-a-month tourist attraction and paying admission to a very local museum. For the former I bought nothing, for the latter someone else in the party gave me a very small note. (I always used to get paper money from the cash machine at the arrival airport)

Re: Foreign Currency Poll
I have just been on a cruise round Norway and only used contactless for payments in Norwegian Krone.
It seemed to be universally accepted. I had used up all my currency on an earlier cruise and saw no need to buy any more.

Re: Foreign Currency Poll
For years I've used a credit card for 90+% of all foreign spending. Contactless or not, doesn't make any difference.
